Clovelly Lobster and Crab Fest 2018

A day out for the whole family to enjoy - Clovelly Lobster and Crab Fest is the annual celebration of their fishing heritage. To promote the sustainable lobsters and crabs Clovelly is famous for pulling out the North Devon waters, the put on a great day out for all the family.

For those who don't yet know Clovelly, it's a private village with a visitor centre at its entrance. From there, visitors can visit local shops, see the donkeys and walk through the village to the harbour at the bottom. The village is car free and walking through the cobbled streets is like stepping back in time. The path and the surrounding cottages seem to tumble down the cliff, following an old stream.

By walking through the village you'll discover the history of Clovelly and get a glimpse at what life use to be like there. A sprinkling of shops, pubs, inns and museums are on route and the views looking out to sea are fantastic.

For the Clovelly Lobster and Crab Fest, the harbour comes alive with fresh food, drink and all day activities. There will be live music all day, cookery demonstrations with tastings, a magnum of champagne prize draw and craft stalls. Be entertained by street theatre, walkabout magic, balloon modelling and games.

Baby lobsters will be released into the sea at the beginning and end of the day too.
