Fancy a taste of the West Country’s finest lamb and beef at our winter gastronomy evening?

Our region’s beef and lamb are known for their flavoursomeness and tenderness and coupled with the best in vegetables and other delicious ingredients, you are sure to have an exceptional night. The evening will celebrate the West Country Beef and Lamb PGI* status.

Set within the gorgeous environment of our Beachside Grill, you will be treated to five sumptuous lamb and beef dishes created by five fabulous chefs while the sun sets behind the horizon.  Please download our menu below.

*The PGI (Protected Geographical Indications), was started 15 years ago by a group of west country farmers who understood that the there was a special quality to the meat produced in the west country region (Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Dorset, Somerset, Devon and Cornwall). What sets this apart is that there are more days rainfall (not most inches of rain) to keep the lush grasses and flowering meadows growing (and the west country has 57% of the meadows in the country – an amazing factoid) which in turn creates a unique and nutritious product for Chefs to use.

It changes the Fatty acid profile to more of the omega 3 & 6s. The criteria for the product to be west country Beef and Lamb with PGI status is that the animal is born / reared and finished on farms in the 6 counties of the west country and fed on at least a 70% forage based diet.
