8 things to do this Easter!

There’s so much to do on an Easter beach break in beautiful north Devon. Here are just a few of our favourites.

1. Rosemoor Lindt Gold Bunny trail and Easter crafts

From March 24 – April 22, explore the beautiful gardens as you hunt for Lindt Gold Bunnies, and enjoy Easter-themed arts and crafts in the Learning Centre. Kids go free from April 3-15 when accompanied by a paying adult or Member.

2. Cycle the Tarka Trail

As the days get longer and warmer, discover north Devon by bike with on the Tarka Trail. Running from Braunton to Meeth, this former railway track is traffic free, flat and family friendly.

3. Arlington mini Easter garden and spring trail

Take part in a wildlife trail across the grounds throughout the Easter holidays, or join the garden team on April 10 to make your very own Easter garden.

4. Learn to surf

Easter is a great time to learn to surf at Saunton. Sea temperatures are beginning to rise and the waves can also be a quieter.

5. Eggcellent fun at The Big Sheep

The Big Sheep’s annual Easter Eggstravaganza is on from April 6-22, with 30,000 chocolate eggs to find and a huge range of rides and attractions to enjoy.

6. Hunt for Easter chicks in Clovelly

Following on from Lentsherd on Shrove Tuesday, which sees children race down the cobbles at Clovelly, dragging clattering tin cans to chase away bad spirits and drive the devil into the sea, Easter is a more tranquil affair. Children search the high street with the aid of a village map to find Easter chicks with prizes up for grabs.

7. Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park

It’s eggs of the pre-historic variety that need to be found in this Easter hunt with a difference! Find dinosaur eggs dotted around the park to collect your prize at the end of the trail.
