With a light cherry colour and aromas of honeysuckle, strawberries and raspberries, this elegant Champagne has a lovely finesse to the red grapefruit and red berry flavours. Ayala's Rose is unusually dominated by the white grape Chardonnay, lending extra elegance to the Champagne.

Produced in small quantities in exceptional vintages and then aged for six years. Light yet voluptuous and vibrant, showing a silky texture and a touch of raciness. Citrus and white flowers culminate in a long, tight finish from the low dosage.

Bollinger is one of the oldest - and most respected - Champagne houses, and the only one still to employ a full-time cooper (barrelmaker). With Pinot Noir being the backbone variety for the house, this flagship wine is rich and bold with flavours of nuts and butter, even though it remains an exquisitely fine Champagne too.

LGA, as it's commonly known, is a triumph of Champagne fermented in barrels and a testament to Bollinger's skill and expertise. With a full mouthfeel and complex layers of honey, smoked butter and brown toast, it finishes with a flourish of refreshing pink grapefruit.

Brend Collection has partnered with Furleigh Estate to create this delicious wine using Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grapes, grown in Dorset. Made in the 'traditional' (AKA Champagne) method, it's full of toasty, buttery flavours with an apple-flavoured freshness.

Bright yellow in colour with hints of green. The nose is rich yet subtle, with fresh notes of white flowers. The palate is nicely rounded and very fresh, showcasing why Picpoul is a firm favourite thirst-quenching dry white in the heat of summer.

Bone dry yet bursting with stone fruit aromas including white peach and nectarine. The palate is mellow yet fresh with a subtle spice on the finish.

Delicate citrus and stone on the nose. The palate is bright and fresh, full of more citrus with a mineral streak and a hint of salinity.

Classically tasting of apricots and peaches and exotic fruit, albeit in a subtle manner. This is vibrant and well-balanced with an uplifting fruity finish.

 

Weingut Stift Göttweig Messwein Grüner Veltliner (V) - Bottle - £48
Austria, Niederösterreich 
Typical of Austria’s home grape, this is light and fresh yet also has some degree of complexity, including flavours of grapefruit and white pepper. Messwein cannot be produced without the permission of the bishop, and it must be only natural and unaltered. 

 

Orube Rioja Blanco (V) - Bottle £42 
Spain, Rioja
Always an underrated style (and loved by many sommeliers), this White Rioja showcases some lovely tropical notes and a hint of smokiness from barrel ageing. Good body and an elegant finish. At its best with richer white meat/fish dishes.

 

Fertuna Vermentino (V) - Bottle £55
Italy, Tuscany 
A fresh and lively white, Vermentino easily expresses the evocative scent of the Mediterranean scrubland through an intense aroma. It also loves growing near the coast, and so this has a coastal salinity alongside the white blossom, pear and grapefruit flavours.

Ghostly pale, it offers intense aromas of lemon, grapefruit, orange zest, crushed rocks, gardenia flowers, and melon.

 

Fertuna Droppello Sangiovese Bianco - Bottle £60
Italy, Tuscany
A unique wine made from Sangiovese but vinified as a white wine. A delicate floral bouquet, with soft notes of herbs and white fruits. On the palate, the wine is fresh, dry and mineral.

 

Kilkanoon Skilly Valley Pinot Gris (V) - Bottle £60
Australia, Clare Valley
Riesling usually rules in Clare Valley, but this Pinot Gris beautifully combines fresh flavours of green apples, pears and quince with the exotic spicy undertones of cinnamon and cloves, all leading to a long and indulgent finish.

 

J Vineyards Chardonnay (V) - Bottle £68
USA, California, Russian River Valley
Coming from one of California's top Chardonnay spots, RRV, this is a complex version of the ubiquitous grape with layers of fruits and flowers coming through, followed by white peach, pear, pineapple and freshly-cut lemons. The savoury notes of hazelnut and ginger add concentration and depth, both hallmarks of the wine’s French oak ageing.

Charming and delicate, Les Fées Brunes (The Brunette Fairies) reveals the subtle ties of the Syrah grape. Produced on the granite terroir of Crozes Hermitage, this wine has a velvety texture with intense notes of cherry and black currant.

Ruby with opaque centre. Aromas of dark woodland fruit, cedar, leather, graphite. Full-bodied, with firm tannins, but very polished.Vibrant acidity

A Pinot Noir with intense ripe red berry, leather and spice aromas. It’s pure, delicate and has a well-balanced palate of red fruits, with a generous finish.

France
Ségla is the second wine of the famous Margaux Second Growth, Château Rauzan-Ségla. This is a great chance to taste their famous expertise. Deliciously approachable in youth, it has vibrant aromas of cassis and violets. On the palate, the tannins are smooth and supported by boundless black fruit flavours with a little hint of cedar.

 

Domaine Chanson Gevrey- Chambertin (V) - Bottle £110
France, Burgundy
Coming from one of Pinot Noir's most famous locations in the world, this has intense aromas of blackberries mixed with spices and a hint of vanilla. Well-structured and dense with a deep and complex texture. There is a hint of saltiness on the finish with well-integrated tannins.
