History of Clovelly
The Maritime Festival in Clovelly is a weekend of great food and nautical fun, including but not limited to a whole host of locally-sourced and freshly prepared North Devon seafood to tickle your taste buds.
The yearly festival started life in 2009, set up by local volunteers and businesses. Since then the event has gone from strength to strength whilst remaining free to enjoy. This is all thanks to the hard work of volunteers, charities, council funding and the generosity of local businesses.
The town comes together to offer two days of fun attractions, local food stalls, live music and family entertainment. Held near the sea-front within a short distance of the boats the fish comes in from, and within easy reach of other popular attractions, the festival is a wonderful excuse to spend the day in Clovelly, seeing what the historical coastal village has to offer.
