Parking is also completely free from 4:00pm onwards at certain car parks for the evening.
Immerse yourself in this festive town tradition of lighting the Christmas lights throughout the town, starting the Christmas season. Featured with live entertainment, food, and drinks, family activities and late-night shopping. Barnstaple Youth House will host its regular youth session from 5:30pm to 8pm, including festive crafts and hot chocolate.
On top of this, you can take a moment to visit Santa’s Grotto in the Guildhall from 5pm-8:30pm. Where children can meet Santa Claus and Mrs Claus. Entry to meet Santa is only £2, with all of the money raised donated to the Barnstaple Mayor’s chosen charities. The high street and Barnstaple Pannier Market will be open for late-night shopping alongside this, with additional late-night evenings throughout December.
