Source Spa & Wellness fitness classes have been curated especially for health and wellness of mind, body and spirit.

Tai Chi & Chi Gung: Originating in ancient China, Tai Chi is one of the most effective exercises for health of mind and body. Although an art with a great depth of knowledge and skill, it can be easy to learn and soon delivers its health benefits. Suitable for everyone. Learn this gentle and powerful tai chi-like internal martial art, a beautiful flowing routine which can be done anywhere. We will practise outside when possible.

Pilates: Stretch with strength and control. Low impact physical conditioning class for all levels.

Yoga: Vinyasa flow is a mindful practice coordinating movement with breath to flow from one pose to the next. Vinyasa is one of the most popular contemporary styles of yoga. It's a broad classification that encompasses many different types of yoga, including Ashtanga and power yoga. The best way to start or finish your day. 

Full-Body Work Out: This class will enable you to work your whole body in a biomechanical way. By carrying out functional movements that mimic those used in everyday life, you’ll learn to move your body and to engage muscles needed for particular movements. The class consists of mainly compound exercises targeting muscle groups simultaneously during each exercise. This process burns more calories, improves intramuscular coordination, elevates your heart rate, improves flexibility, improves strength and helps you to gain more muscle mass.

Meditation: Meditation is about coming back to yourself. Stepping away from the constant flow of distractions, demands and needs that occupy the mind, turning down the sound and picture of this flow and finding a state of calm. Using simple techniques, meditation can help you calm the nervous system, reduce stress and anxiety, increase self-awareness and feel present. With such busy lives meditation can become part of yourself care ritual, if you begin to nurture yourself, feel calmer and at ease, you have more capacity to give the best of yourself to all that you do.

Tennis: Playing tennis can help deal with daily physical and emotional challenges but is above all, a fun and social sport. Rob Cook has 12 years’ tennis coaching experience and runs the Devonshire Tennis Academy. His class will help all standards of player from complete beginners to nationally rated players. He believes in positive reinforcement and listening to each player to ensure you achieve what you want from your session.

Beginners Kickboxercise: A group fitness class which combines kickboxing, martial art techniques with fast-paced cardio, aimed towards the beginner but anyone can join this high energy workout. Burn calories, flex muscles you didn’t know you had, have fun, build confidence with this all-round workout.

Mind Body Balance: Start your day the right way with this gentle yet invigorating class, clear your mind with guided meditation and relaxation, learn self-massage techniques to help your body and mind find balance to carry you through your day

Yoga for Stress/ Nervous Sytem: This practice recognizes that everybody in the class will have experienced some form of stress in their lifetime and this can influence the relationship we have with our bodies, minds and those around us. The focus is on the feel of a posture rather than the form of the posture aiding the participant in a greater connection with their body, offering choice throughout the practice making it suitable for all levels and introducing techniques that can be easily applied daily to help elliviate stress and tension and introduce a more nurturing relationship with yourself. Though often slower than many other forms of yoga the practice can be dynamic, encouraging and building strength, flexibility and a deeper connection body, mind and soul.

*All our fitness classes are designed for all fitness levels and abilities. Until at least 4th September 2020, all classes will take place in the Activity Dome on the lawn. If weather permits classes will be outside. Please let the instructor know beforehand of any injuries or contraindications
you have. One class per day per person.
