At the heart of Saunton Sands Hotel is The Dining Room, elegant and glamorous, and overlooking the stunning enviable views of miles of world biosphere dunes and beach. We pride ourselves on offering great dining experiences whilst connecting dishes to the landscapes many ingredients originate from. Freshly prepared and following the seasons, our menus revisit legendary recipes but also introduce contemporary must-try dishes championing the finest produce from the abundance of local suppliers on our doorstep. From breakfast buffets to Lobster Thermidor, there’s always the invitation to book another trip just to taste everything!
Of course, we need a special shout out to our incredible Head Chef Mathias Oberg who has the CV of an aspiring chefs’ dreams, cooking at many feted, multi-Michelin starred restaurants across the world. Luckily for us, however, he’s decided to leave the frenetic buzz of service at London’s Shard to cook by the beach - and who can blame him? He and his team have taken our two AA Rosette-Winning menus from strength to strength, focusing on creating relaxed contemporary dining that's served in style and we can’t wait for you to give it a try.
