Whether you're planning a family getaway, a romantic coastal escape, or simply looking to enjoy the fresh sea air, there's something for everyone to experience throughout the season.
From colourful local festivals to food markets and family attractions, the region comes alive during the summer months. Spend your days surfing the waves, building sandcastles on the beach, exploring the South West Coast Path, or discovering charming nearby villages. To help you make the most of your stay, we've rounded up some of the best events and activities happening in and around Saunton Sands during the summer holidays. You'll find plenty of inspiration for unforgettable days out, all within easy reach of the beach.

The Milky Way Adventure Park
Treat the whole family to an unforgettable day out at the multi-award-winning Milky Way Adventure Park. From thrilling rides like the Cosmic Typhoon, Gravity Rider, Ziggy's Blast Quest and the Cosmic Caterpillar to adventure play areas, dodgems, mini golf and the popular Jumping Jupiters, there's something for all ages to enjoy.
Don't miss the spectacular Birds of Prey outdoor display, along with plenty of other exciting attractions that promise a fun-filled day whatever the weather.

RHS Garden Rosemoor
Discover a summer of outdoor adventure at RHS Garden Rosemoor, where nature and creativity come together for the whole family. Follow an interactive wildlife trail to uncover 10 beautifully crafted brick-built wildlife heroes, each showing the incredible skills and behaviours that help them thrive in the natural world.
Along the way, enjoy hands-on building activities in collaboration with Iconic Bricks, and join fun LEGO workshops where little builders can create their own nature-inspired masterpieces, including bug hotels and other wildlife-themed designs.

Clovelly Village
There's plenty happening in Clovelly this summer, with a fantastic programme of events for all ages. Enjoy one of the four enchanting open-air theatre performances throughout the season. Cheer on local competitors at the Woolsery Agricultural Show on 27th July, or head to Lifeboat Day on 2nd August for family entertainment, games, live music and RNLI lifeboat demonstrations.
Later in the month, the GIg Regatta sees Devon's top rowing teams compete in the historic harbour, before the popular Lobster and Crab Feast rounds off the celebrations with delicious local seafood, live folk music, cookery demonstrations and artisan craft stalls.

The Big Sheep
The Big Sheep has a packed programme of family fun this summer, starting with Woolly's Birthday Bash, featuring fantastic entertainment and special summer savings. Music lovers can enjoy the Country Music Festival on the 1st August, followed by the August Bank Holiday Summer Music Festival.
Open every day throughout the school holidays, The Big Sheep also offers plenty of everyday fun, from meeting friendly animals in the Animal Barn and watching hilarious live shows to enjoying exciting rides and exploring one of Devon's largest indoor play zones.

Quince Honey Farm
Head to Quince Honey Farm this summer for a buzzing family day out packed with fun, whatever the weather. Discover the fascinating world of bees with live beekeeping demonstrations, honey tasting, candle rolling, seed planting and informative bee talks, while little ones can let off steam in the indoor and outdoor play areas or explore the beautiful nectar gardens.
On the 15th August, don't miss the Flower Resin Workshop, where you can create your very own nature-inspired light catch to take home.

Watermouth Castle
Experience Watermouth Castle in a whole new light during its magical Twilight Evenings, taking place on selected dates throughout July and August. From 5pm, visitors can enjoy the castle's rides, attractions and adventure play areas in a more relaxed evening setting, with tickets from just £10 per person.
On selected Thursdays from 23rd July throughout August, the popular Sunset sessions also return, offering a free evening of live music, delicious local street food and a laid-back atmosphere as you watch the sun set over the spectacular North Devon coastline.
